part 1, part 2.

SM, YG, JYP, I envy none
I AM JUNGLE M.I.B

Shapes with strange structure always tend to get my attention, and this one got my attention as well.
While watching the MV, I couldn’t stop thinking how much this represent their 6 years as a band and what they’ve got through.
While reading this, please remember that it is nothing serious, but just my thoughts.

While facing this rough world

Super Junior had never supposed to pass the one year mark with their current members. Knowing that, they still worked hard to be loved, but instead, got bashed for their big members number, they were looked down at for the way SM called them “the leftovers of DBSK”.
They were facing this rough world from the very beginning. No, even before their beginning. They were hated even before their debut.
They stood strong against everything, starting from their debut-days hate, to Kyuhyun joining, Henry appearance in “Don’t Don” and both him and Zhoumi joining to a new sub-group, smiling against this rough world to earn love little by little.
But then Kibum left without saying a word. And the breaking started.

I am flying towards a greater dream

With Kibum sudden leaving without saying a word, they had to handle with wondering fans, while their title song in that time, “Sorry Sorry”, was getting much attention; not only in Korea, but worldwide.
They were heading towards a greater dream - getting their hopes up for a world tour with their very fast growing popularity, and maybe not even that, maybe they were just hoping to make Korea more known around the world. They worked hard to prove they deserved the attention they were getting, to achieve their greater dream which demanded them to put all they’ve got into it.
But not everything went along to the plan; Kangin got into accidents, which led SM to not let him participated in any of the group’s activities, Hangeng filled a lawsuit against SM, letting the world know how terrible he was treated.
Their greater dream seemed to die, and it didn’t seem like Super Junior will come back again.
All the pieces fell apart. They were falling apart.

We’re getting closer to a good time, say goodbye to the hardships

This year, 2012, they came back.
Sure, they made a comeback in 2010, and in 2011 as well, but this time it’s different.
With Kangin’s returns, it seems like Super Junior we all got to love came back. There is no feeling like they’re going to disband anytime soon, but instead, there is a feeling like they’re heading for something bigger, as if they picked up the pieces, and put them back together; making their long lost great dream alive again.
They’re saying goodbye to the hardships, even though they know there are more to come with Leeteuk’s enlistment, as if they’re saying that nothing will break them apart again - they are heading towards a better time.

He bowed countless of times while crying and smiling.
He said “thank you” in every language he knows.
He was truly happy and thankful.
